Learning Outcomes

1.) I can list three main goals parents and educators have for a deaf child.

  • For them to be able to communicate with others.
  • For them to be able to socialize and make friends.
  • For them to be able to be academically prepared.
2.) I can list options that are successful in Deaf education. 
  • Residental Schools
  • Resource Classrooms and interventions
  • Instruction via interpreter

    Yes! Parents want to communicate with their child and certainly for the child to be able to communicate with others so they can have meaningful relationships! It is also of utmost importance to them that they are able to get a good education. What we will learn more about is HOW that education can occur and where which you have included ideas in your second answer!!
